My name is Alessandra, I'm 57, I live and work in Milan.
I started exploring the world of photography about 20 years ago when I was given a small digital camera that I used in different circumstances and environments: on the road, traveling, with friends, at home. My intent was always to represent in the shots an emotion, a glance, a detail, a landscape that could have a more expressive and evocative force.
In recent years, thanks to the use of more advanced digital equipment, my interest has shifted to another subject that, even in its motionless, can change its appearance, consistency and color over time: I'm talking about "food", the food in all its facets and declinations. I'm looking for food for my shots in all the places I visit: a market stand or a fishing bar counter, a restaurant table but also my kitchen, a supermarket but also a grocery store in the neighborhood. Everything fascinates me, everything gains a particular emphasis with the light it receives or its position. Sometimes, when I set it in my lens, I almost feel like I'm facing a "demanding model" and I know that by fulfilling its desires with my creativity, the result will reward me.
I love to photograph and in my photos I put my passion, my colors, my music: in a word, my personality!
And I like to conclude with a quotation by Henry Cartier Bresson who says "To photograph: it is to put on the same line of sight the head, the eye and the heart.”
